Minette Walters (b. 1950) is a British mystery writer. Fallowing researching at Trevelyan College, University of Durham, she began writing in 1987 with The Ice Home, which was published around 1992. She followed this using A Sculptress inside 1993. She has been published around 35 countries, & won numerous awards.

A Sculptress has been adapted for television in a series starring Pauline Quirke. Her novels, A Dark Room & ''A Scolder's Bridle'', stand likewise been adapted per BBC.
